The deadline for our chapbook contest has come and gone, and we're in the process of, well, processing all the fine work you and yours sent our way. We'll get those entries to our preliminary judges next week. By mid-June we expect to ship off ten finalists to our final judge -- whose identity we know, but we need to dot a few i's and cross a few t's before we announce the name. Our goal is to announce the winner of the contest by August 1.
Thanks, as always, for submitting your work to us. We'll keep you posted as we have news.

Please say Something! Your silence is making me catch writer's block.
I'm an old and lonely man living with ugly cats. Cat hair is all over the place. I sneak out sometimes to write funny rhymes, but when I come back in those ugly cats start yelling at me. I am becoming so afraid of those ugly cats. Oh My, They are now slowly surrounding me and their demanding screams are becoming completely louder. What a way to go! Trapped by ugly cats and my pen is now out of ink.
How About An Update?
Do we have a winner, Yet?
What's up, Friend?
Did I miss anything?
It was "Bob The Builder" that coined the phrase, "YES WE CAN!"
Hey can you dig it?
Hmmm. Spamming the comments doesn't seem to be effective. Any other ideas?
We shall form a committee, make some speeches, do a study, Call out for pizza, take a vote, ask for a continuance, do a roll call, and finally recess of Labor Day..
I don't know if this is the same anonymous over and over but pretty funny :) I think I am just going to assume that my chapbook didn't make the cut!
I'm figuring about the same on my chapbook. Haven't gotten any response to my query email yet. I just hope there's nothing wrong.
I e-mailed the editor. Here is his reply:
"Thanks for your patience. We’re still awaiting a final decision from our judge. We expect to have an announcement on the blog in the next few days."
Tell the judge the decision is a month late. Scatter the ms. on the floor, take a broad jump, and pick the one you land on. Let's get on with it.
September 4, 2008, A running mate for John has just now been named. WOW! I was really shocked!
Is RMR still in business? Why haven't we learned about the chapbook winner? Obviously I'm not getting the 3 a.m. phone call, but still, it would be nice not to have to check this blog regularly.
September 5, 2008, Same story, was stood up at the dance. She never showed up. I had rented a tux for that special evening. I poured out my heart onto paper with a 65 cent blue pen.
This is very unfair to submitters. The next round of chapbook contests are opening and you have not released our work. Pls. post winners.
this kind of blog always useful for blog readers, it helps people during research. your post is one of the same for blog readers.
